US President Donald Trump has urged other nations to deploy warships to secure the Strait of Hormuz, which has been disrupted by Iran amid the ongoing conflict involving the US and Israel.
As the unprecedented war enters its third week, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant stated that the situation in Iran is reaching a “critical phase,” with continued US and Israeli strikes.
On his social media platform, Trump announced that “several countries will send naval forces, in cooperation with the United States, to keep the strait open and secure.”
He expressed hope that nations such as China, France, Japan, South Korea, the United Kingdom, and others would send ships to the region to ensure that the Strait of Hormuz is not under threat.
