The owner of GSC Game World invests in the IEC: Maksym Krippa buys the exhibition center

Ukrainian investor Maksym Krippa is strengthening his influence on the capital’s real estate market, now through the country’s largest exhibition complex. The entrepreneur has gained control of the International Exhibition Center, concentrating more than 75% of the shares in his hands. Krippa is already known for his assets in Kyiv, including the Parus business center, the Ukraine hotel, the NAVI e-sports club, and other well-known companies. Now, a key player in the infrastructure segment, the IEC, has joined this portfolio.

As reported by Interfax-Ukraine, the deal included the acquisition of 50.04% of the shares of A.T.V.T., a key shareholder of the IEC. In addition, Krippa bought out the shares previously owned by Anatoly and Olena Tkachenko. As a result, the businessman now controls more than three-quarters of the company.

In a comment to the publication, the entrepreneur emphasized that he has been investing in real estate in Ukraine and abroad for almost 20 years. According to him, each new deal within the country is a demonstration of his confidence in Ukraine’s economic potential and its attractiveness to global investors.

Krippa also said that the agreements between the parties have already been finalized. The next stage is the development and modernization of the exhibition complex.

Rebranding and new formats for the IEC

Maksym Krippa outlined his vision for the further transformation of the International Exhibition Center, seeing it as a potential platform for large-scale business events, international summits, and industry meetings. In his opinion, this space has the potential to become a modern showcase for Ukraine—open, innovative, and integrated into the global context.

According to the entrepreneur, the primary task is to retain the team that has already formed around the IEC. Currently, more than 130 qualified specialists work at the facility, and they, as Krippa emphasizes, are the center’s main asset.

“Our goal is to update the strategic framework for the IEC. We want to make it a more flexible and modern space that combines technology, openness to creativity, and inclusiveness for a wide variety of communication formats. I do not rule out that over time the center may take on a new functional role — we will adapt to changes and global trends,” the investor said in a comment to the media.

He added that the current technical condition of the building is satisfactory and does not require urgent intervention. There are no plans for immediate reconstruction or expansion at this time.

Just a reminder that in May 2025, Ukraine’s Antimonopoly Committee approved a deal that basically paved the way for a change in control over the country’s largest exhibition center.

According to official data, the permit was given to Citadel Ventures Cyprus Limited, a company registered in Cyprus.
