India: Pakistan Launches Attacks Along the Western Border

The Indian military announced on Friday that the Pakistani armed forces have carried out “multiple attacks” using drones and other munitions along India’s western border, with incidents reported on Thursday and early Friday.

The two nations have been engaged in hostilities since India targeted several sites in Pakistan on Wednesday, claiming they were “terrorist camps” in retaliation for a deadly attack in the disputed Kashmir region last month, for which it blames Islamabad.

Pakistan has denied these accusations; however, both countries have been exchanging gunfire, shelling, and launching drones and missiles across the border since then, resulting in nearly 40 deaths due to the escalating violence.

The military stated that Pakistani forces have resorted to “numerous violations of the ceasefire” along the Line of Control in Kashmir, a region both countries claim but partially control.

Furthermore, the military emphasized that they had countered drone strikes and responded appropriately to ceasefire violations, stating that all “malicious schemes” would be met with “force.”

As of now, there has been no response from Pakistan regarding India’s statement.
