Yesterday, Dr. Ali Rashid Al Naimi, the Chairman of the Committee on Defense, Interior, and Foreign Affairs of the Federal National Council, received Dr. Shrikant Eknath Shinde and his accompanying parliamentary delegation, which includes members from the Indian Senate and House of Representatives, at the council’s headquarters in Abu Dhabi.
The meeting was attended by Sarah Mohammed Falaknaz, Sultan bin Yaqub Al Zaabi, Fatima Ali Al Mehairi, as well as Ahmed Hashem Khouri and Sumaya Abdullah Al Suwaidi.
Also present were Dr. Nidhal Mohammed Al Taniji and other members of the Friendship Committee with Asian Parliaments within the Federal National Council. During the discussions, the focus was on enhancing parliamentary cooperation between the two nations, emphasizing the importance of collaboration on common issues and the role of parliamentary diplomacy in aligning national goals.
Dr. Ali Al Naimi warmly welcomed the Indian parliamentary delegation, highlighting the significance of this visit, which symbolizes the strong ties between the UAE and India, continually evolving across various sectors, and a mutual commitment to boost parliamentary collaboration.
He pointed out that both countries are essential partners in promoting security and stability at both regional and global levels. Furthermore, he addressed the UAE’s continued leadership in combating terrorism and extremism, reaffirming the nation’s steady position and its steadfast commitment to contributing to the foundations of global peace and security.
