The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai has proudly announced the “Hamdan bin Mohammed Award for Government Services 2024,” in the presence of His Excellency Lieutenant General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, Deputy Chief of Police and Public Security in Dubai.
This event, attended by Major General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of the General Directorate, celebrates a remarkable achievement that solidifies its position as one of the leading government entities embodying the visionary leadership’s efforts to elevate government operations to a global standard, guided by innovation and a focus on people.
The gathering included the presence of Iman Al Suwaidi, Executive Director of Evaluation and Studies at the Executive Council General Secretariat, and Major General Obaid Muhair Bin Surour, Deputy Director General, alongside department heads and senior officials from various sectors.
Major General Mohamed Ahmed Al Marri expressed gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, for his continuous oversight and support of this pioneering program. He emphasized that the Hamdan Award is not merely a badge of honor but a renewed commitment to enhancing government services from operational achievements to creating a significant societal impact.
He stated, “Winning the Hamdan Award is both a moment of pride and responsibility. It is a time to celebrate our accomplishments and a stepping stone towards further institutional integration that truly makes a difference in people’s lives. During the event, Dubai’s administration took the opportunity to honor the teams who led improvement projects and implemented the 360 Services policy, demonstrating an institutional culture that values contribution and connects achievement with recognition.
The ceremony featured a special video presentation that showcased the journey of excellence leading to this victory, highlighting key milestones in institutional work and team spirit. In an official ceremony, the Hamdan Award was handed over to His Excellency Lieutenant General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim and Major General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, after which it was raised in front of the General Directorate building.
