Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, welcomed Elmer Schiapparelli Salcedo, the Foreign Minister of Peru, in Abu Dhabi yesterday.
During their meeting, they discussed the bilateral relations between the two nations and explored ways to enhance cooperation across various sectors, including economic, commercial, and investment fields, along with other vital areas that align with their developmental priorities.
Sheikh Abdullah expressed his warm welcome to Salcedo’s visit, emphasizing his eagerness to collaborate on strengthening the distinguished bilateral relations shared by their countries and to seize all available opportunities to expand joint cooperation.
Embassy Inauguration
In the evening, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Peru inaugurated the embassy of his country in Abu Dhabi. The event was attended by Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh, Minister of State, Alberto Alejandro Farje Ora, the Ambassador of Peru to the UAE, embassy members, several Arab and foreign diplomats based in the country, as well as business leaders and members of the Peruvian community residing in the UAE.
In his speech at the inauguration, the Peruvian Foreign Minister remarked that the establishment of his country’s embassy in the UAE symbolizes the strong friendship between the two nations. He described the UAE as a strategic partner for Peru and expressed his aspiration to strengthen the partnership for the benefit of both friendly countries.
