Arada Grants Contracts for Aljada Development in Sharjah

UAE-based developer Arada has finalized key construction agreements for 14 residential complexes, which will include a total of 2,210 housing units as part of the Aljada project in Sharjah.

The contracts are valued at AED2 billion ($556 million), according to a statement from the developer.

The construction of five Nesba buildings, located on East Boulevard, along with five Safa buildings on West Boulevard, will be managed by China Tiesiju Civil Engineering Group, a subsidiary of the state-owned China Railway Group, all within the AED35 billion megaproject.

Additionally, the contract for The Gate blocks 3-6, positioned at the southern entry of the development, has been awarded to the Kuwait-based firm Mohammed Abdulmohsin Al Kharafi and Sons, which has a history of collaboration with Arada on previous projects including Aljada, Masaar, and Nasma Residences.

Each construction contract is set for a duration of 26 months, with the completion of the buildings expected by the second quarter of 2028.

“These substantial contracts demonstrate our faith in the local market and our commitment to vigorously advance our projects throughout the UAE,” noted Ahmed Alkhoshaibi, Group CEO of Arada.

The Nesba and Safa neighborhoods will be located close to Aljada’s sports park, which is projected to open by the end of 2026.

Aljada encompasses 24 million square feet and will feature over 25,000 residential units, currently providing homes for around 20,000 individuals.

In January, Arada reported that sales had surged in 2025 to AED17.3 billion, driven by robust demand for properties in its master-planned communities and upscale developments in Dubai and Sharjah.

The total number of units sold more than doubled to 5,140 in the previous year, compared to 2,171 units sold in 2024.
