The Department of Municipalities and Transport, represented by the Abu Dhabi City Municipality, has expressed strong confidence in the high level of awareness within the community regarding their responsibility to preserve public and recreational facilities, including beaches.
The municipality emphasized the importance of enhancing the beauty and sustainability of these areas, encouraging all community segments to actively contribute. This involves adhering to the regulations and guidelines set for using these facilities that are designed for their enjoyment.
This statement came during the awareness campaign launched by the Abu Dhabi City Municipality under the slogan “Our Home, Our Responsibility – Its Beauty is Our Priority.” The campaign aimed to educate beachgoers about the importance of participating in the protection of Abu Dhabi’s beaches and promoting positive behaviors while collaborating with the municipality and relevant authorities to ensure the sustainability and effectiveness of these facilities as beautiful recreational destinations equipped with comprehensive services.
During the campaign, the municipality urged beach visitors to help maintain the cleanliness of the beaches and their marine environments by not littering, aiming to enhance the overall appearance of Abu Dhabi’s beaches, which meet international standards and criteria.
