Qarqash: Iran’s Aggressions Expose Military Weakness, Moral Bankruptcy, and Political Isolation

Dr. Anwar bin Mohammed Gargash, the diplomatic advisor to the President of the UAE, has responded to Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi’s allegations that the UAE has attacked Iran, describing such claims as indicative of a “confused policy that has lost its direction and wisdom.” He emphasized that the UAE continues to prioritize reason and restraint.

In a post on X, Gargash highlighted that following 1909 aggressive Iranian attacks on the UAE, Araghchi has chosen to accuse the UAE of aggression against Iran.

He reaffirmed that “the UAE has the right to defend itself against this imposed terrorist aggression,” pointing out that the nation remains committed to rationality and continues to seek a resolution for both Iran and the broader region.

Gargash noted that Araghchi’s remarks “condemn his country, solidify its isolation, and expose its aggression,” and reminded that the Iranian minister is aware of the UAE’s sincere efforts to mediate between Washington and Tehran to prevent escalation into conflict.

In an earlier statement, Dr. Gargash remarked that Iran’s strategy, which seems to stem from its inability to counter American and Israeli strikes by targeting Gulf Arab nations, reveals a military weakness, moral bankruptcy, and political isolation.

He stated that “this reality cannot be concealed by misleading media statements. A return to reason begins with ceasing attacks on neighbors and engaging in productive dialogue.”
